DEPLOYMENT, DATA & OWNERSHIP

Plan the connection to your environment.

Deployment is part of product fit. Before connecting data or enabling actions, work with IT and security to define where components run, what passes between them and who owns them.

Organizational context layers align

Assess deployment requirements for each product

On-premises, organizational cloud or disconnected requirements must be checked against the product, version and required integrations. One product’s capabilities do not establish another’s. Distinguish application hosting, model hosting and external services that may be needed for operation, updates or support.

Map the data journey

List the sources read, information transferred, processing locations and information generated by use. Include files, operational records and model outputs where relevant. Then agree on retention, deletion and access requirements for the project scope and the organization’s policy for those data.

Define identities and permissions

Review how users and services authenticate, which roles are required and how permissions change over time. Separate viewing, proposing and executing actions. A technical connection does not authorize every possible use; access scope must match the workflow and its accountable approving owners.

Validate integrations in a defined environment

A list of system names is insufficient to establish compatibility. Check versions, interfaces, network constraints and data quality, and name the owner of each connection. Include missing information, revoked access and unavailable services in evaluation, so the team understands when work continues or stops.

Agree on operation after launch

Before routine use, define monitoring, incident handling, updates and accountable owners. Assess backup, recovery and planned interruption requirements for the system. Service terms and support availability are set in the engagement; this page does not establish one SLA or identical commitments across all products.

What to bring to a fit discussion

Prepare a workflow description, environment diagram, integration needs and known security requirements. Include the process owner and relevant IT and security representatives. The aim is a dependency picture, explicit open questions and an evaluation scope both sides can assess before committing to implementation.
